AEROSMITH Honored For 'Album Of The Year' At BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS
October 1, 2004AEROSMITH earned major label "Album of the Year" honors for the bluesy "Honkin' on Bobo" at the 17th annual Boston Music Awards on Wednesday (Sept. 29). The ceremony, which took place at the Avalon Ballroom in Beantown, honored the region's top musicians.
Accepting the award for "Album of the Year", AEROSMITH bassist Tom Hamilton seemed genuinely impressed with his latest piece of hardware, according to The Boston Globe. "This is actually shinier than my Grammy," quipped Hamilton. Don't expect to see much of AEROSMITH in 2005. After a hectic year, it seems Steven Tyler and the boys are taking an extended hiatus. "I'm glad to just sit back and be able to go to Harvard Square or the North End. With the amount of touring we do," Hamilton said, "it's absolutely necessary to get away from the road, get organized, refresh the spirit, and get back into the lonely artist mode."
